Devastation!!

These poor resident in the well known city of New Zealand located north of Ashburton and south of kaikoura. These poor resident are fighting fires,earthquakes and houses,churches, old buildings getting hit and busted. This town is Christchurch!!

I personally think we all need to write a story to help or give these residents a bit of a break after these devastating times.

These fires have covered over 2000 hectares which is round about 5500 acres. Modern day technology has made a big part of the fires for measuring hot spots etc. I think this is devastating after which christchurch has just been through from huge big fires and just recovering from too big earthquakes. This is inadequate!!!! Residents  houses have been burned into ashes and some still stunned and overwhelmed  from there house not been touched. The amazing and famous hills that these fires took place are now into black burnt grass and the remainders of resident houses. On these hills are mtb tracks,tramping walks and resident houses.

These fires took place only 6km from the city centre of Christchurch.

Christchurch is a very big tourist city to New Zealand. Close to wanaka with ski fields and queenstown ski fields and twizel for salmon farms etc. The port hills that these fires took place hav mtb tracks and a big big mtb race called the pioneer that people come all over the world to take place in the pioneer.
